AmCham Announces an Open Position for a Policy Officer

Open vacancy is designed for aspiring regulatory professionals with a legal background.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham Moldova) is a leading business association composed of a diverse spectrum of more than 100 businesses, designed to work closely with the Moldovan Government to improve business climate and establish an investment friendly environment in Moldova.

Major Responsibilities:

• Initiate, elaborate, coordinate, submit and follow-up position papers to state authorities either on existing constraints or related to draft legal acts. 

• Address written correspondence to various state authorities on resolution of major issues affecting association’s members.

• Preparing reports/researches and disseminate information on key issues for the membership; and managing all information flows.

• Ongoing interaction with current and potential members of the association.

• Work closely with AmCham staff responsible for other lines of services.

Major Qualifications / Skills:

• Degree in law.

• Master`s degree in economics, business administration or related fields would be an advantage.

• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience.

• Knowledge of the Moldovan legislative process, stages governing initiation, consultation, approval and implementation of legal acts.

• Experience working with international organizations.

• Experience in business field of law.

• Strong organizational & analytical skills.

• Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.

• Interpersonal and communication skills.
