Efrim, Roșca și Asociații was named “National Firm of the Year - Moldova” at the IFLR Europe Awards 2026, one of the most prestigious European competitions recognizing law firms active in financial and corporate law. In addition, the firm’s Managing Partner, Oleg Efrim, received the “Lawyer of the Year - Moldova” award.

The awards are presented by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR), a leading international publication specializing in financial and corporate law, best known globally for the IFLR1000 guide, which ranks law firms and lawyers involved in transactions, financings, and complex investment projects and is among the most influential international rankings.

IFLR has been monitoring and assessing Moldova’s business law market for more than 18 years through its annual IFLR1000 research. The year 2026 marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time Moldova has been awarded dedicated national categories in the IFLR Europe Awards: “National Firm of the Year - Moldova” and “Lawyer of the Year - Moldova.”

The IFLR rankings and awards are based on independent research that includes analysis of significant transactions and projects, client feedback, market commentary, and interviews with practitioners. The assessment focuses on legal complexity, innovation, and the impact of projects on the business and investment environment.

In the “Lawyer of the Year - Moldova” category, the shortlist featured five lawyers from three law firms: Efrim, Roșca și Asociații (Oleg Efrim and Vladislav Roșca), Turcan Cazac (Octavian Cazac and Alexander Țurcan), and Schoenherr (Vladimir Iurkovski). For the “National Firm of the Year - Moldova” award, the shortlisted firms were Efrim, Roșca și Asociații and Schoenherr.

The introduction, for the first time, of dedicated national categories for Moldova is more than a recognition of the achievements of a particular law firm or lawyer. It reflects the growing maturity of Moldova’s business law market and the increasing number of sophisticated transactions, financings, and cross-border projects that warrant evaluation and recognition on a par with those in other European jurisdictions.
