We at AmCham aspire to even deeper integration of the Republic of Moldova - integration in the Transatlantic Economy!

Mila Malairau and Alexandru Gozun represented AmCham Moldova at the Transatlantic Conference 2024, which AmCham EU organized in Brussels this week.

This year’s Transatlantic Conference, ‘The transatlantic effect: shaping the global agenda,’ focused on how Europe and the US can shape global values, set international standards, and drive change.

The 21st edition of the Transatlantic 2024 Economy Report featured 2023 as a record-breaking year for the transatlantic relationship, with Europe and the US remaining each other’s biggest markets:

- $ 6.9 trillion in commercial sales a year

- 16 million jobs on both sides of the Atlantic

- half of the total global personal consumption

- one third of global GDP in terms of purchasing power

- no two other regions in the world are as deeply integrated as the U.S. and Europe!

The report also revealed new insights into international support for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia, major shifts in the transatlantic energy economy, the reconfiguration of global supply chains with derisking strategies at play, relations with China, and green and digital transitions.

Some positive trend suggests ongoing opportunities for collaboration and growth across various sectors on both sides of the Atlantic.
