AmCham Moldova Visited the Elderly from Straseni

  • 24.12.2014

On Monday, December 22nd, AmCham Moldova, in cooperation with DHL Moldova, visited the beneficiaries of the Sunrise Day Care Center for the Elderly and the Rainbow Assisted Living Center in Straseni. The number of the projects’ beneficiaries totals 370 retired and/or homeless elderly.

We, at AmCham, together with our extensive member network, value all ages in our communities, from the very young to the very old. The elderly in nursing homes often feel isolated and excluded, so this year we continued the format launched last year within our traditional Christmas Collection Project, by visiting a retirement home.

This edition, AmCham succeeded to collect warm clothes, slippers, blankets, linens, towels, pampers, socks, food, juices, furniture, and other goods. Also, around $1000 were donated for medicine and other basic needs.

A single visit to a nursing home was an invaluable experience for us; we hope it brought happiness and warmth in the hearts of the senior citizens.

AmCham thanks all the companies for their generous contributions: Alo, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, Booz Allen Hamilton, Grawe Carat Asigurari, Incaso, KPMG Moldova, Legal Solutions, Microinvest, Moldova Agroindbank, Orbico Moldova, Red Union Fenosa, Sun Communications, Turcan Cazac Law Firm
