On August, 14th, AmCham has led a meeting organized on the platform of the Prime-minister’s Economic Council, gathering representatives from public authorities and business environment, to discuss the framework for public procurement in the healthcare sector. The participants have debated possibilities to modify the governmental regulation in the area, in order to ensure a balanced reduction of penalties imposed on suppliers of medicinal products under public procurement contracts.

It was decided that, in the upcoming two weeks, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection would examine all the recommendations received and provide the ministerial position in writing, after which another deadline of two weeks will start for organizing a follow-up meeting.
