AmCham Calls for Member Input Related to Business Constraints

At the request of International Finance Corporation (IFC), AmCham Moldova is collecting information regarding non-tariff trade barriers.

The most common non-tariff trade barriers are:
a. Application of more severe rules than international norms;
b. Promoting additional restrictions for foreign goods;
c. Technical barriers;
d. Employment regulations related to foreign workers and investors;
e. Restrictive licenses;
f. Sanitary and phytosanitary conditions;
g. Quality control measures;
h. Distribution restrictions;
i. Corrupt and/or lengthy customs procedures.

Therefore, we are asking for your assistance in identifying non-tariff trade barriers. Please submit the relevant issues or constraints your companies have encountered to adriangheorghita@amcham.md, until November 20, 16:00.
