On May 7, AmCham Moldova held a launch event to present the Civic Responsibility Enhancement via Social Message Initiative (CRESMI) to representatives from the Government, business community, mass media and civil society. Mr. Alexandru Munteanu from PwC Moldova, the author of the bill, presented to the participants the draft amendment, in respect to the legal framework of social messages, and welcomed their feedback to share their opinions and concerns and to address recommendations regarding proposed amendments to the draft bill. Following the event, participants will have an opportunity to send any additional comments or further address their position by e-mail in regards to the  proposed amendments.

CRESMI aims to enhance the involvement of the local private sector and NGOs in social responsibility projects and the creation of public awareness campaigns. Through this initiative, AmCham Moldova will contribute to the public interest of the Republic of Moldova and increase social awareness by promoting an amendment to current legislation on public service advertising, align the current legal framework to international practices, and raise awareness amongst representatives from the private sector, mass media, advertising agencies and NGOs.
