Approval of the capacity limits, maximum quotas, and capacity categories in the field of electricity from renewable sources until 2025
On December 8, 2021, the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved the capacity limits, maximum quotas, and capacity categories in the field of electricity from renewable sources until 2025.
The new Government decision was approved to apply the support schemes for promoting electricity from renewable sources, such as wind, solar installations, biogas-based cogeneration, singas-based cogeneration, direct combustion cogeneration, and hydro installations.
AmCham has been actively involved in the public consultations on the Government decision and has advocated for wind power to have the largest share among all renewable technologies to ensure predictability and continuity in the policies promoted in renewable energy.
