Amendments to the Law on Advertising - simpler rules on outdoor advertising
In 2025, following AmCham’s interventions, several legislative changes to the Law on Advertising brought significant benefits to the business environment:
- The non-taxable size of company signs (for commercial and service areas) was increased from 1 m² to 3 m².
- Posters and boards that are legally required, as well as consumer information without advertising content, were exempted from authorization/notification.
- Fixed advertising devices are now permitted on the territory of individual monuments, architectural ensembles, sites, and their protection zones, in line with regulations approved by the Ministry of Culture.
- The authorization process was simplified by introducing a notification regime for devices that do not affect a building’s structural integrity.
- The “temporary” status of fixed advertising devices has been eliminated.
These changes mark an important step towards reducing red tape and supporting a friendlier business environment. We thank our members for their valuable input throughout the process.
