AmCham Moldova at the Plenary Session of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister

AmCham Moldova took part in the plenary session of the Economic Council, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Doina Nistor, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization.

During the discussions, the Council’s progress was highlighted in the following areas:

  • thorough preparation for accession through financing the transition to EU standards;
  • enhancing the competitiveness of companies, with a focus on local enterprises;
  • deregulation packages in the context of transposing the EU acquis;
  • development of the entrepreneurial framework, including a special framework for freelancers and energy sandboxes;
  • the digitalization package, including the regulatory framework on digital nomads;
  • the roadmap for women’s economic empowerment;
  • the Bizradar virtual business community application.

The Council is undergoing reorganization and will address new dimensions: macroeconomic analysis (including the use of AI in government), instruments to improve the investment climate, and a new working group on agricultural industrialization.

AmCham Moldova was represented by Veronica Sirețeanu, Deputy Director, and Alexandru Gozun, President.
