AmCham, FIA, and ATIC contributed several proposals to the draft law on data protection

AmCham, FIA, and ATIC contributed several proposals to the draft law on data protection.

The proposals of the business community refer to the following main aspects:

- Bringing the draft law into line with the provisions of the EU Regulation;

- Rewriting the language of the draft law considering the national legislative technique;

- Rewriting the chapter related to the filing of complaints and the conduct of investigations, and regulating adequate procedural guarantees;

- Extending the term for the law's entry into force, reducing the maximum amounts of fines, and specifying their calculation method.
