The Parliament adopted the amendment to the Law on payment for environmental pollution
After more than five years of discussions and negotiations, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted in the final reading the amendment to the Law on payment for environmental pollution.
The AmCham Moldova community, together with other business associations, were actively involved in this process.
It was a long process of negotiating legislative amendments and full of challenges.
The new changes, in common with negotiated amendments, arise from the obligation to harmonize national legislation with the Community acquis, will have a positive impact on the effective implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility and will stimulate economic operators and solve the problem of double unjustified environment burden (taxation).
