AmCham addresses the diplomatic community on recent transactions with BEM and CIA
The business community has recently witnessed to the transactions referring to Banca de Economii of Moldova and Chisinau International Airport. The business community watched perplexedly, how strategically important assets were privatized / leased in an undisclosed and non-transparent way.
In light of the above, the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova, in conjunction with Foreign Investors Association and European Business Association, addressed a letter to the diplomatic & donor community calling its representatives to engage more actively in appraising these transactions, raising these issues to the Moldovan Government and calling for increased actions of accountability.
The letter was signed by the presidents of all the involved associations and you can find it attached hereby.
