On the 5th of July 2014 the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova celebrated the 238th US Independence Day together with its members, partners and the U.S. Embassy representatives. This year’s family picnic took place at the wonderfully green ‘Golf Club’ where children and adults alike had the space and utilities to enjoy the day. The opening speech was held by Mr. John Maxemchuk, followed by the U.S. Ambassador to Moldova, William Moser.

The combination between American food, cold drinks, sunny weather, competitions and games emerged into a relaxed atmosphere. The children enjoyed the specially organized FasTracKids and McDonald’s activities whilst the grown-ups participated at the charity raffle, chatted and met new people, potential partners and friends.

Mr. Moser noted that in 2014 Moldova has reached a series of important goals, which makes the celebration even more significant as it illustrates the developing relationship and partnership between the two countries, U.S.A. and Moldova. Thus the annual celebration of the U.S. Independence Day in Moldova is becoming a symbol, as well as an enjoyable encounter.

None of these would have been possible without the collaboration and participation of our sponsors and partners, who have put so much effort, time and funds in organizing the festivity of the 4th of July.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this event:
