On the 25th of June, the Trade and Manufacturing Committee members participated at the meeting of the Advisory Committee under Customs Service.

At the meeting, Customs Service launched a series of reforms related to the liberalization of customs procedures. Several of these procedures were initiated due to the efforts of AmCham. During our collaboration process with Customs Service, we raised proposals such as completion of the customs normative acts, finding solutions for companies that work in the “just in time” regime, and optimizing the prior procedures to customs clearance.

We strongly believe that these reforms, once put into action, will simplify the import, export and transit procedures and subsequently reduce the time, costs and effort of the economical agents undertaking exterior trade.
