The event on the presentation of the activities was held under the patronage of AmCham Moldova
Chisinau, March 1, 2017. At the event, the Steering Committee of the Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration under AmCham Moldova presented arbitration rules, regulation on arbitral fees and costs, as well as other operational aspects of the Court of Arbitration, in the domestic and international arbitration processes.
The rules of arbitration have been developed according to the relevant international conventions and national legal framework, but also taking into account the best international practices, which are contained in the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre and of the ICC Paris Court of Arbitration.
The ‘emergency arbitrator’ procedure, although known in more advanced jurisdictions, has been introduced for the first time in Moldova. At the same time, the arbitration rules contain provisions on expedited arbitral proceedings, enabling litigants to settle disputes in the shortest possible time.
