Within a meeting conducted by the Economic Council to the Prime minister aimed at identifying the priorities of implementing DCFTA as a tool for business recovery from COVID-19 impact, Adrian Gheorghita raised a series of tariff and non-tariff barriers to cross-border trade with the EU, such as:
- Export of foodstuff of animal origin to the EU;
- Deficiencies on performing risk-based inspections on foodstuff at ANSA cross-border inspection posts;
-Implementation of the extended producer responsibility in the field of waste management;
- Initiation of negotiations on the digitization of certificates of origin EUR.1;
- Elimination of some customs duties.
