Last week, as a member of the Prime minister's Economic Council, AmCham was engaged in the following subjects:
Meeting with the State Agency on Intellectual Property
On December 14, AmCham had another meeting with AGEPI and Collective Management Organizations representatives. This meeting continues the series of efforts directed at improving the law on copyright and related rights (i.e. Law no. 139). In particular, debates concerned the amount of compensatory remuneration collected from entrepreneurs.
The Sanctions System Reform in the Economic Field
On the same day, AmCham had another round of meetings dedicated to the reform of criminal sanctions for economic crimes. Particularly, this meeting generated a lively debate regarding several articles of the draft law, more discussions on this subject will take place in the upcoming year.
