Trade and Manufacturing Committee Members Met with BRITE Expert Robert Keilbas
On November 12, members of the Trade and Manufacturing Committee met with Mr. Robert Keilbas, a BRITE expert, regarding deferred payments on import duties and the financial guarantee system.
This is an innovative topic and provided a significant impact for large importers, brokers, transporters, banks and insurance companies as it includes operating amendments in the Customs Code in order to extend the holders of guarantee letters to insurance companies and other financial funds.
Members welcomed the initiative and agreed to participate in the upcoming workshops organized by BRITE on the subject.
