On March 6, 2015, AmCham members met with U.S. Ambassador, H.E. James D. Pettit. AmCham honored U.S. Ambassador James Pettit, designating him as the Honorary President of the association. In his remarks, the Ambassador discussed the importance of good governance and anti-corruption initiatives. He encouraged members to break the chain of corruption by remaining steadfast and united in combatting such activity in the business community, and added that an active and engaged civil society is one of the most important hallmarks for ensuring good governance.
