U.S. Embassy in conjunction with the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova & USAID Business Regulatory, Investment and Trade Environment (BRITE) Program will be organizing the seminar with the motion:

“Regulatory Impact Assessment: Advancing the Transparent Policy Discussion”

The workshop intends to:

• provide an overview on RIA experience, current situation, and planned improvements in Moldova;
• present global trends & regional approaches in RIA;
• overview of best practices in USA and EU;
• provide a platform for interactive discussions on recommendations for improvements in RIA process and constraints elimination.

We would like to highlight that one of the event’s key speakers is Mr. Alex Hunt, the Branch Chief at the Office of Information of Regulatory Affairs, White House Office of Management and Budget. The presenters of the event will be also the representatives of the US Embassy in Chisinau and the representatives of the US Department of Commerce from Bucharest, as well as representatives of the OECD, USAID BRITE Program, RIA Secretariat, and national business associations. 

The seminar is open to Government & Parliament representatives, as well as other institutions responsible for drafting policies and regulations, or have oversight of RIAs; national business associations and sectorial business associations; and other experts and organizations involved in regulatory impact assessments, as well as business representatives interested and involved in regulatory impact assessments.
