Advocacy Meetings

AmCham strives to update and keep members informed on the most stringent activities of the Chamber, and which has an impact on their activity and economy; all of this led to a new informative section - Advocacy Meetings.


The co-chairs of the Financial Services Committee met with the representatives of the ”Livada Moldovei” project, to discuss the challenges and opportunities the EIB-financed project may bring both to the farmers and to the financial sector.


AmCham met with Center for the ”Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries” (Netherlands) representatives to discuss the challenges Moldovan producers face when exporting. Separate attention was given to issues related to exports in postal consignments, the cumulation of origin, permissive acts.


On Thursday, the AmCham community met with the Ministry of Justice in the name of an exchange session on how the ministry may contribute to the improvement of the business climate in Moldova. Mr. Esanu provided valuable insights into their priorities for the development of arbitration, establishing the Electronic Power of Attorneys Register, etc. Separate attention was given to issues concerning the work of the bailiffs. The Ministry of Justice and AmCham agreed to enhance collaboration on promoting legal culture in Moldova.


On a weekly basis, AmCham Moldova attends the meetings of the State Commission for Regulation of Entrepreneurial Activity. This week, among the topics proposed for debates, were the draft regulation on the use of state names in companies names; draft regulations with impact on pharma industry; as well as, the amendments to the regulation on the import of goods that are subject to the food safety control.
