AmCham Calls for Member Input Related to Business Constraints

  • 17.01.2014

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the United States is seeking AmCham support in signing a “Trade and Investment Facilitation Agreement” (TIFA) with the US Government. TIFA will set the legal basis for stronger economic ties between the U.S. and the Republic of Moldova and facilitating and encouraging discussions and cooperation by setting a TIFA Council at the highest intergovernmental level. The subjects discussed at TIFA Council meetings may range from the removal of specific trade and investment barriers to systemic issues that have affected the business environment in Moldova.

Prior to a TIFA signing, its necessity must be evaluated. Therefore, we are asking for your assistance in identifying key constraints of doing business in Moldova and the United States. Please submit the issues or constraints your companies have encountered or any questions you may have regarding TIFA to adriangheorghita@amcham.md.
