METRO Cash & Carry is part of METRO GROUP, one of the largest and most international retailing companies worldwide. Some 280,000 employees from 150 nations are working at around 2,209 stores in 33 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. The portfolio of its strong sales brands offers a wide range of services for private and commercial customers.
METRO Cash & Carry Moldova was launched in 2004 by the opening of the first store in Chisinau. In 2006, an additional two stores were opened in Chisinau and Balti. METRO now employs 720 employees.
