Application of New Accounting Standards Postponed
Following the business community’s recommendations to postpone the deadline for entry into force of the new National Accounting Standards, the Ministry of Finance agreed to take into account the private sector’s opinion. Therefore, the amendments shall come into effect on a voluntary basis from 1 January 2014 and will be mandatory from 1 January 2015. This decision was voiced by Mr. Victor Barbaneagra at today’s meeting in Parliament on Tax and Customs Policy for 2014, as well as confirmed by means of a separate letter from the Ministry of Finance (available here).
