AmCham Financial Services Committee on September, 2 had a meeting with the Governor of National Bank of Moldova – Mr. Dorin Dragutanu.
Currently the Committee is holding an active correspondence with the Ministry of Economy and authorities responsible for supervision of financial market in order to propose the applicability of extrajudicial mechanism of notary execution of collateral not only to banks, but also to non-banking financial institutions (microfinance and leasing companies).
Prior to this meeting, Financial Services Committee addressed an official position paper in attention of the Ministry of Economy, which was responsible for elaboration of the draft law on amendments to the law on mortgage.
Participation in the meeting provided the opportunity for the Committee to understand from the first source what is the opinion of National Bank of Moldova on applicability of extrajudicial mechanism of notary execution of collateral, but also the opportunity to elaborate further action plan of activities in this respect.
